The news comes hot on the heels of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds sold out Irish & UK Arena Tour, which comes to Dublin’s O2 and Belfast’s Odyssey Arena this February.
It will be the first time Red Hot Chilli Peppers play in Ireland with their new line-up, after John Frusciante was replaces by Josh Klinghoffer in 2009.
Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold more than 70 million albums, including their newly released ‘I’m With You’, which topped the charts in 18 countries and went to No.1 in Ireland. They have five multi-platinum LPs, and won six Grammy Awards, including “Best Rock Album” for Stadium Arcadium, “Best Rock Performance By a Duo or Group” for “Dani California” “Best Rock Song” for “Scar Tissue,” and “Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal” for “Give It Away.” They are being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April a true testament to the effect they’ve had on rock history.
Tickets priced from €59.50 are on sale from any Ticketmaster outlet.
